Walmart announced plans to install electric vehicle charging network at thousands of Walmart and Sam’s Club locations nationwide.
Walmart and Sam’s Club in the U.S. recently announced their commitment to making electric vehicle ownership more accessible, reliable, convenient and cost-effective for customers and members across America by 2030. By then, Walmart and Sam’s Club plan on creating their own nationwide EV fast-charging network at thousands of their locations nationwide; in addition to almost 1,300 stations already present at more than 280 U.S. facilities.
Walmart and Sam’s Club, located within 10 miles of 90% of Americans, are perfectly situated to provide a convenient charging solution that makes EV ownership accessible for those living in rural, suburban, and urban areas alike. Their mission is to meet the needs of customers and members where they live while opening up the road for those driving across America. Having on-the-go charging available on demand has been seen as a gamechanger by those who have been hesitant to purchase an electric vehicle due to worries they won’t find one in a clean space when needed.
Walmart and Sam’s Club provide customers and members with the added convenience of having chargers located on-site at Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets and Sam’s Clubs.
